Traveling around the world with National Geographic was an experience of a lifetime. Around the world in 80 hours of flight time; 25 days of amazing memories.
Perhaps my favorite memory of all is realizing as I watched out our plane window, the whole world passed underneath - from the Florida Keys to the Andes, from Easter Island to the Great Barrier Reef, from Borneo to the Mekong Delta; Tibet to Uttar Pradesh; Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley; the Nile, Sinai and the Red Sea; the Great Pyramids and the Sphynx, the North African coast and the Atlas Mountains, the Azores and the Delmarva Peninsula.
I decided to post my 2 favorite photos from each place we visited and tried to find one that featured a person or persons and one that was more evocative of the location.

If I had a favorite place - a big if - it was Tibet. This was a surprise for me, as it was probably lowest on my list before the trip began. The people were so open and welcoming, the scenery so stark. I broke my 2 photo rule, because I couldn't leave these out....
