Saying goodbye to the towers, fortifications and double walls of the Alhambra |
Sunday, November 3, 2019 Granada
As we left the Patio of the Lions area, we entered the higher portion of the Alhambra and walked past more towers, fortress walls and gardens. We walked past the Rauda Tower, the El Partal gardens and Ladies’ Tower.

On our way out, we passed just inside the fortress walls and could see how it was built for defense. We also saw the room where Washington Irving wrote the Tales of Alhambra, and we walked past the Torre della Infantas (the Tower of the Princesses, which he wrote about).
