One of my favorite things in Lisbon's Park of the Nations is the attractive outdoor spaces. A large central avenue bisects the acres of the park, the Alameda dos Oceanos. It is wide and tree lined, and the fall colors are starting to show
Along the Alameda is the Caminho da Aqua water - lined with many 2-meter high ceramic tile volcanoes that suddenly erupt with water at irregular intervals. They tiles are multicolored and coordinated with tiled pools in long trenches that parallel the divided road and bike paths. It's a lovely place to walk.
