The one where Susan flies the plane....

[Friday, February 6]

Today we left Tibet, returning to Chengdu airport and boarded our jet to fly to Agra, India to see the Taj Mahal.  We brought a Tibetan prayer wheel into the cockpit to our pilot Paul.  After he blessed the instruments, he let me take a seat at the controls.  Let's see,  which button do you push to start the engines?

In Agra, we're staying at the Oberoi Amarvilas resort, which is build to emulate the Mogul style of the Taj Mahal.   When we arrived at the main entrance, if you lift your eyes and look across to the windows and the horizon, you see the Taj Mahal in the afternoon light, framed through the window.  Magnificent. Our room is lovely with a balcony that looks over the beautiful hotel grounds and a view of the Taj.
