Goodbye to Myanmar and the many beautiful faces we encountered along the way

These young guys at Shwedagon Pagoda are too cool for words :-)

Friday,  March 02                                                                   Yangon,  Myanmar

Our suitcase collection was at 6 AM this morning – and because we are the furthest cottage, they came 10 minutes early!  We had breakfast and loaded on buses to drive back to the Heho airport.  The ride was beautiful in the early morning sunlight.  Many people were out on their way to work or school, stopping at roadside cooking stands for food, monks walking the streets for their morning alms.  Many trucks filled with farm workers – mostly women – headed out for the rice fields, according to our guide.

We boarded a FMI Air propjet to fly back to Yangon to return to our TCI private jet and travel on to Udaipur, India.  However, while in Yangon, we took buses to see the incomparable Shwadagon Pagoda before departing Myanmar and flying off to India. I enjoyed seeing all the people and meeting families, as much as experiencing the historically significant Buddhist pilgrimage site.

Selfie time!

Loved this guy at one of the temples - those from Detroit will know why he reminds me of the Elias Brothers Big Boy, minus the hamburger and with blue (instead of red) checked pants
