Evening rainstorm at La Terre di Poreta - and a rainbow

Sunday, May 14 2017 – And closing the evening with Umbrian charcuterie - yum!

When we finished our olive oil tasting experience, we decided to sit outside for a while, as the evening was still early and the light was very pretty.  Some rain clouds were gathering, and the sun kept peeking out from underneath the clouds.  At one point, it poured rain for about 10 minutes – and then stopped as abruptly as it started.  A rainbow followed almost immediately, as the sun returned from under the clouds.

A quick rainstorm is upon us

The storm quickly passes and leaves behind a rainbow in the evening sunlight

Mike had ordered a charcuterie and cheese plate, and we ate it outdoors under the trees as the sunset. We talked for a while longer and then retired to our room, and called Elizabeth and Sara to wish them a happy Mother’s Day before settling into our comfy bed.

Umbria has the best meat and cheese - at top is various stages of aged pecorino - with honey to drizzle on top
