Shopping requires sustenance - a basil and lime semifreddo with a pistachio macaroon does the trick! |

Between the arena and Piazza delle Erbe, Verona's high end shopping street - Via Mazzini - is crowded with Saturday shoppers. All the designer stores are located here - even a Disney Store (yikes!). We didn't buy, but it was fun to window shop.
The entrance to Via Mazzini - and it starts with Louis Vuitton and Intimissimi |
Heading toward Piazza delle Erbe, with the Torre dei Lamberti at the end of the street. |
Beautiful marbled pedestrian walkways. Something has caught Michael's eye... |
Intimissimi - high end lingerie store - seems to have mannequins with more than typical endowments |
Not sure who's conducting the traffic in this crowded pedestrian street - maybe Puccini? |
Michael found a new friend - looking for Reese's Pieces maybe? |
What a fun candy store...but we held out for gelato |
Amorino Gelateria is located at the west end of Piazza delle Erbe - so nice to have found it! |
I mixed two semifreddo flavors: basil/lime and passionfruit. Michael went for pistachio. |
A cute and tasty assortment of Halloween macaroons |
I had to stop and admire the ancient marble on the streets of Verona - Look at this ammonite! |
When you're a rock hunter, like me, you wish you could take this whole slab of marble home with you! Who cares about the high end shopping! |
